ARCHIPELAGO Nº2209

Abstract Landscape by Gustaf Tidholm
No. 7 in the ARCHIPELAGO series
ARCHIPELAGO Nº2209 captures the moment when light breaks over a fragmented shoreline. Through a layered technique of acrylic and water, Gustaf Tidholm evokes a sense of quiet vastness—an islandscape suspended in time.
Subtle gradients of desert ochre and rust unfold across the horizon, grounding the composition with a warm, earthy pulse. Above, a veil of pale greys and soft amber tones suggests a sky in motion—open, weathered, and filled with silent memory.
Hints of oceanic blue emerge at the base, forming a low tide of shadow and depth. Though abstract, the painting resonates with place: a terrain half-remembered, half-dreamed.
For me, ARCHIPELAGO Nº2209 is a meditation on distance—on the spaces between land, sky and water, and the stories that exist in their shifting edges.
